Animation preview!

Hi everyone!
We just uploaded 4 animation scenes (16 loops including 3 more for Amastra's scene you can see here) for the corresponding tiers and 8 more are in the making. (Next monday we'll open a poll for 8 to 12 more)

At this point we can confirm that Magic Dorm 2 part 1 will be bigger than Magic Dorm 2 so probably we'll go for a little less for part 2 to not do a too big game with too time development. We'll take the final decision after seeing your reception/opinion of part 1 :D

About the timing for the release, next week is a little short, the next one we think will be perfect,and one after it should be the maximum date as an estimation (that las week would be only in case wild unexpected bugs appear or if we decide some image scenes end up being animations too, because we are tempted to do it but we don't want to extend the development more ^^u).

Frisky Island - Card Game 1.2 already available for patrons.

 

A new version of Frisky Island is ready!

Upgrades:

· Added skill for Lily commander (+ 3 to exhaustion damage to herself)
·Added skill for Aly commander (+7 healing to herself.
· Added new skill for the bodyguard cards that made the team return 1/3 of the next damage they are dealt.
· Added new skill that returns 100% damage from one card.
· Now you can pick which campaign you play.
· To get new commanders you have to defeat them and after it they will randomly appear when you win games.
· Now each card have its own evolution leveling up.
· In the campaigns you can find the villager commander which cannot be obtained.
· Minor bug fixes.

Stories of the old world 1

 

There once was a time when magic and wonders flowed through and within the living.

A time in which, if someone knew how to find the proper sources, and with practice and will, they could channel that energy and perform acts of wonder.

In time, given the greed of gods and mortal men, the sources were depleted.

But, alas, there was a place, an island, where the sources were still strong and alive, where they never ceased to linger on.

They were so powerful, so alive, that its power led mighty sorcerers, and shaped magical

creatures, which were not bound by the laws of mortals.

In that Island there was a thriving kingdom. Yet one day, a new ruler came to power: a mad king.

Obsessed and paranoid, he thought his subjects laughed at him behind his back. He thought that when he was not watching, they took advantage by resting, fooling around and unleashing their innermost passions. He even went to think they work the least in order to pay less taxes and tributes they owed to him.

Consumed and tormented by those thoughts, filled with rage, one day he called the best sorcerers in court. They were to cast a powerful spell that would remove the will from his villagers and would banish their passions and lust.

The chosen sorcerers faithfully gathered all their powers in order to perform their duty. But such vast power did the sorcerers require and amount from the sources that it went out of control.

The spell not only sucked out and removed the passion and lust from the villagers, but also from all living beings on the island.

First it was the animals, but the people stopped reproducing too.

Facing extinction, the sorcerers once more resorted to their dark arts and managed to created a cloning system to endure and prevent extinction.

Centuries passed and nobody on the Island neither remembered nor knew any other way to endure. The kingdom stood still, and it only changed because of deterioration from repetition.

Centuries had passed, yet the energy of passion and lust were not fully destroyed, it just lay dormant away from the living. Then it joined itself and became aware, and once aware did the will to return to its rightful place arise.

It then took physical form and waited, and waited, and waited, until it were to find the proper Champion who would set all things right where they belonged…

City of Elana Alpha 1 for patrons.

 

Alpha 1 of City of Elana is ready!

 Also we've started to work on Magic Dorm 2! After distributing a little the action, the game will be released with an auto conclusive part 1 and then a part 2 that will englove the whole game. The interactions of part 1 has been already established and by itself will be something of the size of the first Magic Dorm, so we think the whole game will be more or less the double and will definitely drop the title "minigame".

But enough of future games and lets focus on the now!

Upgrades:
· Added the minigame for spectral physical actions.
· Added animations for the actions in the industrial park and the park with a total of 24 animations.
· Added images for all the events in the industrial park and the park with a total of 70+ images. · Now the singulars work different, instead of appear at random in the observable events, they appear as buttons with a 30% chance to appear (pending to be adjusted).
· Now when you have to perform an action on a singular character you can leave or perform the action actually having to go through the minigame. Now the difficulty of the minigames is medium but in the future will depend on the level you have for the action and some singular characters will require higher levels on the action in order to perform them.
· Added the option to save game with the possibility to create several saves and delete old saves.
· Now there is a yellow button that opens the action options inside the areas.
· Added sounds for the houses area and the park area.
· Fixed small bugs, singulars, actions and interface.

Hi everyone!

Next week, probably mid week, the next version of City of Elana will be released. This means next week we'll begin to work on Magic Dorm 2 which will have a similar extension of Magic Dorm 1 or a little bit more but... To release some playable content earlier, will probably develop it in 2 or 3 auto conclusive chapters that will finally be released as a whole (although we expect a development time of 1-2 months tops). Since at the beginning of it Knot will have to wait until have some backgrounds and stuff to begin to work on programing it, this also means meanwhile another version of Frisky Island will be done...

So... A lots of versions coming soon :D

Frisky Island - Card Game Alpha 1 for patrons and Alpha 0.9 public release

Hi everyone!
Another version of Frisky Island is ready! In this one things like begin to add sounds and the inteligence of the contendand took more time than we wanted but we are quite happy with the updates.

Hope you'll enjoy this one and soon another version of City of Elana.

Updates of Alpha 1:
· Fixed some bugs caused by several cards being defeated at the same time.
· Fixed a bug that caused the cards to stay floating during the battle and in the deck builder menu.
· Added sounds (some are personalized and some are a placeholder because it was taking too much time).
· Added music.
· Added Ally and Lily as commanders (although their commander skills are copied from other commanders and pending to have their own skill).
· Added the guards cards from the characters of show towns world of chapter 3.
· Now the opponent commander plays better. Except for a couple of special spells, it tend to choose the better option.
· Improved a little the interface as well as some effects like the screen shaking when the exhaustion dealt is over 20.
· Added campaign although is still a sort of placeholder. You can progress through different commanders but we still have to design levels, matches and many more things to it.
· Now the spells show their targets.
· Added gallery (when you get a card, in the deck builder menu, you can trigger the images and animations of their attacks).

As for Frisky island - Card game, we've been improving the enemies intelligence (among other many little things that must be adjusted within many little things that we'll have to adjust) and we've started to work on the system to ad campaigns.

Our goal for this entering February is release both Frisky island and City of Elana version so we begin the second month of the year with our sleeves already rolled up.

Work, work!

Hi everyone!

This week we have completed a couple more animations for Elana's physical interventions (which are already available for animation tiers) and with them we close the animations for that intervention. We leave it a little open to add a new "round" of animations with both male and female for all levels in the future, to add more variety, but only in case we catch our breath a little with our ratio work to do/time.

Also we've started to fill the art on of the industrial park as well as general work of the game funktions, like how the singular characters work and the possibility to save game.

Next week we plan to open the poll for the animations of the actions in the park as well as publish the sketches of the animations winners for the industrial park as a making of. Also we'll probably begin to work on them, continue adding images and try complete the espectral physical intervention minigame.

Work rhythm is already at full pace. Last minigame art has been done and adjustments on the mechanics of the singulars (as well as some recode needed for the other minigames) has been worked on.

Next week we'll open some animation polls for the intervention actions of the park and the industrial park and we'll probably be working on some animations for the physical actions pending as well as programing the minigame. (Which should not take us the whole week but we've plenty of options to pick up and keep working after it).
