Frisky Island - Card Game. Alpha 0.5 for Patrons.

 



A new version for the card game!

We wanted to add a couple more things as well as the browser and Android version before jumping to City of Elana. Enjoy!

Upgrades:
· Added the cards for Jane's world.
· Added Jane as a commander.
· Now commanders have skills to activate (Tina deals 5 points of exhaustion to a card each turn, Jane increase the exhaustion stats of the guards by 1 and Leela reduces the exhaustion stats of the enemy guards by 1). Right now only the player can activate this skills.
· The commander stats have been reduced.
· Fixed bugs of some skills and the one that locked the images of the cards in the deck creation menu.
· Added old lunch sketches as representations of the battle round modifiers.

We are copying again our ideas for future version:
· Obviously, we'll add way more cards and commanders.
· Will add more special effects for the actions that not cause exhaustion.
· There will be way more effects that will change the conditions of the rounds.
· The enemies will have way better AI.
· The commanders will have special skills that will be able to activate.
· When you or the enemy defeat a guard you'll earn a random spell to use on your turn.
· When you get new cards, you can keep cards you already have to level it up improving it.
· There will be a campaign. (if we see this game is liked, perhaps even seasonal campaigns).
· This is just a thought and we'll see it in the future, but maybe add the possibilities to upload your decks and the possibility to fight against other peoples deck, creating a ranking of players.

Frisky Island - Card game Alpha 0.1 released for patrons and as well as some new animations of City of Elana


 Hi everyone!


We just published the first version of Frisky Island - Card Game! Still a lot to do and include but the game is already playable and you can build your deck and earn new cards!

Also we have published some new animations of City of Elana for influenced Mage and noble tiers and above! Frisky Island - Card Game Alpha 0.1 

 
First version of the card game!

In this version you can already build your deck, play against the computer, and win new cards to play with!

Your goal on a game is to beat the enemies commander. You set up your commander, and then their guards, and choose the type of attack you want to use. Your guards will inflict exhaustion points to the enemy guards and then the enemy guards will do the same to yours, then the enemy turn will begin and will do the same. When the guards are defeated and there is no more guards to cover the commander, the guards will attack the commander but this commander will begin to fight back too.

Your guards will also have actions with no exhaustion damage, in which case if that action is selected there will be an special effect. Also, each round different effect will appear modifying a little the conditions of the competition. When you enter on the deck creation screen the game should save automatically.

This is really a very early stage of the game and this are a little bit our plans for the future:

Known bugs:
· The game has slowed down a little in the last adjustments and we have to speed it up.
· If you put the first 3 card too fast it can cause problems.
· The special skills sometimes don't work properly.
· The image of a card can get stuck when you are building the deck.

Back to work!


 We are back from vacation!


Well rested, motivated, stronger and starting a new work year gaining another level on game development, ready make a many new games!

This first week we hope we'll have the first alpha of the cards game and by the end of September/ beginning of October we expect to release the first version of City of Elana. At that point, depending on how synchronized is our work art/programming we'll decide if we go for another version of City of Elana or if we begin our work on Magic Dorm 2 (which we hope to have ready before the end of the year in any case).
