The fall of Stallos (spoilers)


This was meant to be a simple vacation project from Root but while doing it, we liked how it was looking and the whole team has ended up involved on it and costed more than one night of sleep. We even purchased a song for it :P

The clip shows Jane at a point of the story not reached yet by the development of chapter 2 (so... warning, spoilers), in a different point of view that you'll see in the game and confirms/put together hints already in the game, telling a little more of the main story of it.

Hope you'll enjoy as much as we enjoyed doing it ^^

Also, please tell us your thoughts about it. We are seriously thinking to include this kind of cinematics for important parts of the game and we would love to know your opinion about it.

Back to work!


Vacations are over and we are back working on next version with renewed energies ^^


This month, among others, the wild people are coming with a minigame included.

Also, we worked on a small project during last days, some kind of a small teaser/trailer for next versions and we’ll publish it during next days (We are afraid it’s not adult themed this time but, for those who care for the story of the game and have payed attention to it, it will add/confirm another drop of it).

Vacations

Like past years, we'll take a couple of weeks vacation to load batteries and come back stronger and faster :P Tomorrow we'll still be working and we'll be back on Monday 27

Even so the plans for next release, as well as the estimated date of release are planed to be like any other regular release. Last month we prepared some extra work so we would be able to publish as any other month with a little less time ^^

Exclusives from U53ful 1d1o7 and Root's animation will still come and maybe even a little summer project.

Also we'll keep an eye here so, if you need something or have any question, feel free to comment and we'll be happy to answer.

Alpha 1.7 of chapter 2 for patrons



Updates:
· Fixed a bug that caused a malfunction in the combat when fighting Hulbert before Setek.
· Fixed a bug that allowed to select two times the same spirits in combat, select multiple spirits, and caused malfunctions.
· Aligned  combat images.
· Polished some interface features that made difficult to click some objects.
· Upgraded prison(arrow on the bottom left corner of the Castle). Once there, you can release the villagers and switch between them with arrow buttons (right now it’s free, no coins are needed). Also now when you save and load a game the villagers who were in prison remain there.
· Now ritual 2 properly heals the spirits.
· Added death spirit (reward for completing octopus people chain of events. Also, once you have her, the essences of death will appear during night allowing Elana to heal her) and sloth spirit with 9 images (their base image in combat plus the attacks).
· Added king and queen with 8 events (10 images and 1 animation). The chain of events starts in the castle (arrow on the right top corner of the Castle), once you have seen the guards during night three times. Also to complete the chain of events you’ll need to complete the chain of events of the governess and have purchased the “electric arousal” skill. Once you have completed their chain of events, they will allow you to purchase soldiers for the war against the the demons, only if you’ve reached the point that the innkeeper asks for help with the war (the war episode it’s not implemented yet).
·Added 6 new events for Scylla, starting in the cave in the ship graveyard (reminder from previous versions: To go there you’ll need to complete Rala’s events, watch the two first Scylla’s events and find the sphere of the realm in the hot springs area).
· Added 3 images for night events in the academy.
· Added 2 images for night events in the houses.
· Added 4 images for night events in the church (futa)(One of this images is actually 6 small variations of the same image).
· Added 3 images for night events in the forest (tentacles)(last image of the chain of events is not done yet).

Messing and thinking



This is just a rough sketch not  really related with anything but…

… Lately we’ve been thinking a lot about the end of chapter 2 and chapter 3 and some ideas came to our mind.

First of all, simple cinematics for heavy parts of the story (This sketch could be a test about messing with the art style for those cinematics).  A possible idea could be sequences of images with small animation touches, more narrative, to add more immersion at some parts.

Also about chapter 3, we are thinking on make a little system change. A possible idea could be turn more characters into special characters with it’s own development and stories (not all villagers but lots of them), and change the part where you do actions with random villagers  (which we think it’s been a great part of this game but maybe it’s a little burned now)  for specific events, some management (similar to the tavern but a little different and bigger), and some point and click interaction with the world. Of course keeping a goal and an enemy/menace.

We’ll probably get rid of flash/adobe animate for this third chapter and use a new program. 

When the time comes, we’ll open polls for this stuff in the tier 5$+ but meanwhile we would love to know your thoughts about it.
